Dania Beach, FL – Incredible fighters from all over Florida gathered to compete in the second installment of ACOM Sports’ International Kickboxing Federation (IKF) Semi-Contact Kickboxing. Both male and female competitors from juniors to adults stepped onto the mat at TAO Martial Arts on January 16, 2010 and fought their hearts out.

“Great sanction, amazing fighters, very well refereed and very well put together,” said Ralph Delatore, a competitor in the 180lbs men’s division.

The fight-of-the-day went to Andres Ferero (Fist MMA) and Jay Pineiro (Extreme MMA) in the men’s 150lbs division. From start to finish the action never stopped between these two warriors. Fists flew, knees landed, and kicks connected – all while the crowd went wild.

“The contact wasn’t light,” said Ramone Natal, a competitor in the 160lbs men’s division, “It was an actual match, an actual challenge.”

IKF semi-contact kickboxing is a circuit developed by Johnny Davis to give beginning kickboxers a chance at competing without facing the risk of injury. The bouts are safe, the fighting is controlled, but the competition is real.

The atmosphere lightened as all eyes turned to the front parking lot as a group from Team Real Cage Fighting out of Auburndale arrived just in time for the fighter’s meeting. Fighters, coaches and supporters all piled out of a truck bearing a striking resemblance to a yellow Uhaul.
